Singapore's reputation as Southeast Asia's AI gateway continues to draw consultancies looking to bridge the gap between boardroom ambition and deployment-floor reality. The latest entrant is V2 AI, a Sydney-based data and AI consultancy that has quietly set up shop here as part of an aggressive Asia-Pacific expansion driven by a fivefold surge in enterprise demand.

Founded in 2023 by CEO Craig Howe, V2 AI — which rebranded from V2 Digital — raised US$30 million from Columbia Capital in 2024 and has since doubled its headcount past 90. The firm reported close to 100 per cent revenue growth in 2025, and by mid-2026, demand for its AI advisory, engineering and deployment services had grown fivefold. The Singapore office joins existing operations in Sydney, Melbourne and a newly established Perth presence, with the firm also adding four senior hires from AWS, Salesforce and Microsoft to lead the Western Australian push.

The consultancy has been appointed to Anthropic's Claude Partner Network — a signal that enterprises are moving beyond ChatGPT-style experimentation and toward structured deployments of frontier models. V2 AI is already running Claude Code and Cowork workshops across Singapore and Australia, helping organisations build the governance, observability and security foundations for scaling AI across business functions. The workshops reflect a maturing regional market where companies are less interested in AI demos and more concerned with production-readiness.

Singapore's appeal as a launchpad for Asia-Pacific AI services is well-established — the city-state offers proximity to regional headquarters, a deep talent pool, and government-backed AI adoption frameworks that make it a natural first stop for consultancies expanding from Australia. V2 AI serves enterprise clients in financial services, resources, energy and the public sector, all verticals where Singapore has significant regional concentration. The expansion also mirrors moves by other Australian AI firms — including Canva and Atlassian — that have deepened their Singapore presence to capture Southeast Asian enterprise spend.

Why it matters for Singapore: Each AI consultancy that sets up a Singapore office adds to the ecosystem's service-layer depth — the engineers, architects and delivery specialists who turn AI strategy into operational reality. With V2 AI running Anthropic-powered workshops and serving regulated industries, the firm's presence strengthens Singapore's position as the region's AI deployment hub at a time when enterprises are shifting from proof-of-concept to production at scale.
